Ed Parrot has won the 21st edition of southwestern Connecticut's Boston Buildup
Winter Series. His total of 7062 points was over 600 points
better than the 6449 points of defending champ Jim Mas.
Parrot becomes the first runner to win all four Series races in almost a decade.
The 3rd place finish of Wes Byerly (6067) indicates the competitive nature of
the veterans (40-49) division; 6 of the top 10 places were filled by veteran runners.
Susan Gold, (4673), runner-up last year, edged Dana Parrot (4651) for
the women's title for the series. Gold earned the narrow win by virtue of
running all four races; Parrot missed the 20k. Sue Baker (4597) was 3rd for
the 2nd year in a row.
