Twin Brooks Park, White Plains Rd., Trumbull

An old favorite, over 25 years as a matter of fact, the Trumbull Sunset Run is once again being hosted by the Trumbull Rotary.

Our kids fun runs start at 6:15 PM and will be of varying distances from a scamper to a half mile depending on the ages at the start.
It's free and all kids get a finisher's ribbon, food and fluids!

The 5K (3.1 mile) USATF certified (CT02014DR) running course produced the fastest 5k in the state in 2003.
It starts near the covered bridge, goes past Pinewood Lake and travels through the neighborhood of Nichols.
The second half of the course is downhill and flat with a finish around the pond back at Twin Brooks.

$15 pre-entry for students 18 years & Under), $20 for everyone else.

Great post-race food from Panera Bakery, Poricelli's Market, Vazzy's Pizza, Stop & Shop, Breugger's Bagels, and lots more.

Facilities are extremely limited, so come ready to run.
Directions: I-95 N/S to Bridgeport, take Rt. 25 North to Exit 7 - Bear Right on exit toward Rt. 127.
Turn right onto White Plains Rd. Make 1st left on Brook St. just before the gas station and across the covered bridge into the park.

Rt. 25 South Exit 6 (Old Town Rd.) Take left off exit, take first left and get back onto Rt. 25 North.
Then take Exit 7 - Bear right on exit toward Rt. 127.
Turn right onto White Plains Rd. Make 1st left on Brook St. just before the gas station and across the covered bridge into the park.

Merritt Parkway northbound take exit 49-S onto Rt. 25 south. Take Exit 6. Take left off exit, take first left and get back onto Rt. 25 North.
Then take Exit 7 - Bear right on exit toward Rt. 127.
Turn right onto White Plains Rd. Make 1st left on Brook St. just before the gas station and across the covered bridge into the park.

Merrit southbound take exit 50, right onto White Plains Rd.
Go approx. 4/10 mi. and take the right just after the Texaco station onto Brook St. into park.
